About Me

Tiggy Harris Veterinary Physiotherapy is owned and run by fully qualified veterinary physiotherapist, Tiggy Harris BSc (Hons) MNAVP.

Having always harboured a passion for animals, pursuing a career within the veterinary industry seemed only natural. So after leaving sixth form I chose to study a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Moreton Morrell College, Warwickshire. Not only did this provide me with an extensive knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and remedial treatments, it fully qualified me to practice as a veterinary physiotherapist on horses, dogs, and other species. It also enabled me to obtain membership to the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP) who promote professional practice and ensure that the highest standards of care are provided to every animal.

I am also able to draw on years of experience working with animals when providing veterinary physiotherapy treatment. At 14, I began volunteering at my local Riding for the Disabled centre, Penniwells, where over the years I have gained invaluable experience with a variety of horses and have been involved with numerous regional and national competitions. It was here that my interest in equine therapy and biomechanics began. Experiencing first hand the effect different riders can have on the horse inspired me to pursue a career which alleviates discomfort and enhances performance in domestic and working animals.

I am based in Hertfordshire where I live with my German Shepherd/Rottweiler cross, Otto, and my rabbit, Timmy.
